چکیده

Raspberry ringspot virus (RpRSV), which has not occurred in Japan, infects many plants such as raspberry, gooseberry, cherry, grapevine, and strawberry. Biological assay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) have been introduced for the detection of RpRSV in postentry quarantine in Japan. We studied reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) for RpRSV detection. As a result, the detection limit in RT-LAMP that employed primers specific for RpRSV was more than 10 times as high as that in the RT-PCR. Furthermore, simple and rapid sample preparation methods were evaluated, and the virus detection time was able to be reduced compared to modified SDS‒Potassium acetate method.

A reverse transcriptase-loop mediated isothermal amplification assay (RT-LAMP) for rapid detection of bovine viral diarrhea virus 1 and 2

Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is a pathogen that infects cattle, and is globally important. It causes substantial financial losses to the livestock industry. In the current study, a one-step reverse transcriptase-loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assay was set up for rapid and efficient detection of BVDV. For this purpose, four primers were designed to recognize six distinct...

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP): a new approach for the detection of foot-and-mouth disease virus and its sero-types in Pakistan

Successful disease management requires a rapid and sensitive diagnosis method that can recognize early infection even before the manifestation of its clinical signs. The only available field diagnostic tests for foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) are lateral flow devices, commonly known as chromatographic strips. Low sensitivity and inability to detect FMD virus (FMDV) at the serotype level are limit...

Rapid detection of infectious bursal disease by loop-mediated isothermal amplification for field analysis

Infectious bursal disease (IBD) is an immunosuppressive, acute and highly contagious illness of growing-poultry stock infected with infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV). It is common in Pakistan, causing potential economic losses throughout the year. The objective of the study is to propose a rapid, sensitive and specific diagnostic tool, and compare it with existing commonly used reverse tra...

Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) for the Rapid Diagnosis of Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1)

Background and Aims: considering difficulties in usual laboratory methods in detection of viral infections, improved DNA-based diagnostic techniques are more reliable. Loop mediated isothermal amplification method (LAMP) is a nucleic acid amplification method that amplifies DNA using six primers which has been developed to diagnose viruses as a rapid and high efficiency test. In this study, the...

Real-Time Detection of HIV-2 by Reverse Transcription-Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification.

Currently, there are no FDA-approved nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) for the detection or confirmation of HIV-2 infection. Here, we describe the development of a real-time assay for the detection of HIV-2 DNA and RNA using reverse transcription-loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) and the ESEQuant tube scanner, a portable isothermal amplification/detection device.
